RESTART DISCUSSION
PLAN 4T PROHIBIT BULLS IN PUEBLA

The local deputy of the Social Encounter and president of the Environment Commission in the State Congress, Nora Merino Escamilla, opened the possibility of prohibiting cockfights and bullfights in the town because they are considered a form of animal abuse, although clarified that before making a decision all the voices involved will be heard. Bullfights have only been banned in four states of the Mexican Republic: Sonora, Guerrero, Coahuila and now Quintana Roo. In Sonora, local deputies decided to end this practice last 2013. A year later, in 2014, it happened in the state of Guerrero, while in Coahuila it was vetoed in 2015.
